We need more Mexican food like we need a thumb sewn to our foreheads.. I am beyond tired of all the Mexican food and it's virtually all identical.. What about a Jewish Deli or Sausage shop or maybe a nice Shwarma. What about a Zankou Chicken? Do we really need or want yet another Mexican food place on 2 nd.. What is that..? 4- 5 places in 3 blocks.?

Yes, I do know more due to my involvement in the local associations and parking commission. The ladies at Olives (at Argonne) are having a difficult time at their 2 nd St. location. They were approached by the Mexican restaurant someone listed in these comments. But that was all it was. This information was presented at the last BSRA meeting. Mostly, the ladies were discussing how to reinvent themselves in some way so that they can pay their bills. That is all that is really happening at this point. As far as Baja Fish Taco at Corona, yes it is open. But it is having trouble getting a beer and wine license at the ABC. It is very difficult to sustain a restaurant without one, so its future is uncertain.
