I generally found the realtor choice to not matter. I set alerts on Zillow, and would inquire about the places I wanted to see. The market was so hot that there was no time to wait for a realtor to send me suggestions, and the frequent advice to have your realtor ask their buddies for tips before a house came to market never worked. Everyone wanted as many offers as possible, so no one was hesitating one second to give one person an edge.
