scarlet, before my husband and Imet with a financial planner we watched The retirement gamble on pbs. It was very informative. From watching that my husband and i learned to only meet with a fiduciary, because they are obligated by law to only represent you, most financial advisers are not. so that's my two cents.http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/retirement-gamble/
