Go look in supermarkets on the 'advertising boards'. When I lived in Tawa we did this before we moved out of our flat and found some ladies who did the entire house for $180 (including oven, windows, lamp shades). Well worth the money.

http://www.viphomeservices.co.nz are who I use. They're a Franchise, and ours come in in a batch of about 5, descend on the house for half an hour, and leave. They even play with the dogs while they're here. At one point early on, I had a stack of cash lying around (around $300 or so), and it went missing after they'd been through. I was putting off having a discussion about it, until noticed a few weeks later that they'd helpfully put it under a small container so that it didn't blow away.
