Is your dog by any chance a pedigree? I have 2 pedigrees at home and Dr Geloo did say they are definitely more prone to skin allergies. I give them the Bob Martin vitamins and that really does make a difference to their coats. I normally buy it from Shoprite. I know the Pet shop in Ndola has a very good brand of food - maybe try and get hold of Brett Jenkin.

Our dog had this problem. He is now on the hypoallergenic Royal Canin from the Pet Shop in Lusaka Showgrounds and is fine.

Hi Dawn. We have a dog with the same thing and have been told everything under the sun. We've tried the hypoallergenic food from Liza's, didn't really work. We put her on several courses of anti fungal meds, antibiotics and prednisolone at the same time. This helps while she is on it, but it comes right back. I've been told she is allergic to grass so I have to wash her feet every time she comes inside (not practical). We have also been told she has "zinc-responsive dermatitis" zinc cream did help. What we just tried has completely gotten rid of it, but again, don't really want to keep her on meds all the time. There is a vet in the show grounds ... Dr. Liza . In kabulonga there is Pet vet on roan road and along great east road near Puma in AVONDALE there is a slip road noteable land mark is Mums clinic along that slip there is a Vet too !!
