Fastinghetsbryan. Swedish are selling lots of properties. They do Swedish, Danish. Spanish English. The German market is very flat at the moment. We eventually sold privately. However we did get 3 offers which fell through. Fastig (as we called then) are very good. Lina is Swedish and Juan Spanish. They are in Torre del Mar.nr church. Opposite underground car park. Charming couple. Also David Santiago near the tourist office, turn left into a narrow street and he is a couple of doors up. Hee has French and Belgan market and Spanish and English. Had 2 offers with him. Both fell thru' but valid reason for one and one had us waiting in the office and David had got all info. of documents done fie notaey and he never turned up. He was Spanish and had had two viewings and thought because of Brexit we would lower the price. He was wrong!. Good luck. You will find the Swedes nearly all wants views light and sun. Different market for different Nationalties.

Dear malagueños! We have arrived in Southern Spain and will be exploring Málaga and surroundings next week. Our goal is to buy a house (casa, casa mata, casa de...

I think most of us in Malaga city would simply advocate doing a mix of lots of online searching, plus spending as much time in different areas (ie renting) for as long as possible before making up your mind. You will need to ask other FB groups (maybe Axarquia Online Info, Southern Spain Q & A, Property for Sale Inland & surrounding areas) if you're actually looking at the general area rather than Malaga City.

We live in La Cala ...good bus service into Fuenguirola and Marbella plenty of shops..bars. .restaurants no need for a car and still keeping a village feel .. Rather than it's neighbour Fuenguirola .. Los Boliches nr Fuenguirola is also very good for someone without a car as you have good train and bus links .. Depends how busy an area you would like. .
Danielle H. replied:
I agree with Donna O'Riordan la Cala is a lovely village with all amenities and no need for a car as they is a regular bus service in both directions. And a local market held on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There are 2 super markets. "mercadona" for your usual goods and another called "supersol" where they sell some English products. I have lived in la Cala for 6 years and I love it. (No riff raff walking about) I feel safe walking at night etc. If you are looking for accommodation.. I would recommend David Phillips at a local estate agents based in la Cala itself. www.starlacala.com Hope this helps. X

Los Boliches, great place but rent first! We did for 7 years before we bought!

My thoughts Janet. In Fuengirola you have a lovely community right by the train station and the bus station called Pueblo Lopez. Bar and shops nearby too and can walk to boat harbour and beach. Know several English ladies who live there very happily. It is right near the end stop of the train and the indoor market. Than more a village, many live in Mijas and the bus would take you to Fuengirola, for all you need also goes to Arroya De Miel. Many Brits live in Arroyo de Miel. Got everything you need to. Like someone said is very expensive to move here if you buy, so might be best to rent and see where you like to live. That is a good option too. Good luck.
