We bought the Bissell ProHeat Cleaner at Walmart for pets. It heats the water which is the only one I've seen do it (and needed to clean). Also has beater bars to loosen dirt. Our house use to be a rental and we have dogs so carpet was gross. I was surprised how well it did.

Sherri--My mom had the Bissell ProHeat from Wal-Mart. It was on sale and lasted for years. I used it at home and cleaned my large rug at school (when I had a homeroom). If you find one at Wal-Mart, let me know. You can give me the money and I can get my sister to pick up (she gets a 10% discount). Same deal for KMart (my mom gets a 10% discount there).
