Andy LeCureaux (unsure of the spelling of his name)--he's a Hazel Park City Councilman (so he's local) and an outstanding appliance repair person! Wait a second and I'll see if I can find a phone number for him online...
Jessica W. replied:
I wasn't able to find a number for him and I don't know if his repair business has a different name or not, but here's a link to his facebook page, in case your reader wants to inbox him. I recommend him very highly: a few years ago, he was able to assess my broken air-conditioning unit and tell me what was wrong with it (I had it repaired through my Consumers Power coverage plan, but it was good to know what to ask the repairman for so as not to spend money unnecessarily). While he was at my house, he fixed my refrigerator door. Andy's great! https://www.facebook.com/#!/andy.lecureaux?fref=ts

Conner and Sons Repair: 305 W Rowland Ave Madison Heights, MI 48071 (248) 845-8951. The tech was prompt, cordial, and most importantly, knew what he was doing. They also offer a 30 day warranty on their work which was a relief in case another one of my daughter's socks got stuck in the washer's pump!
