I would say the Milwaukee area is a great halfway point. Travel time is about an hour and half to Chicago and just under 2 hours to Green Bay

JL Richards out of Oregon has great food for a reasonable price. They also do a great job of working with you for your event. I've had two friends use them for their wedding and I just booked them for mine this fall.

Panera is generic but fantastic for office stuff. Reliable, easy to order, wide variety, and always within whatever budget I'm given. They can also do a craft service type variety with one button push, just type in the number of people and they bring everything
