Heartwood Tree Company[(608) 443-6037] pruned our big backyard ash tree and connected us with the company that now treats it every two years to prevent ash borers. Timely service, reasonable rates, great guys!

Nikolas Tree Service(608) 334-7939. I priced a couple places out last year and they did my project for 2/3 the price of those other companies. They were prompt, professional and I was very satisfied with their work.
We're looking to remove a large dead tree from our yard. Any recommendations for tree removal companies?

Accurate Tree Service did a great job removing a huge tree from behind our church facility at 302 Acewood. They also had one of the lowest quotes. http://www.accuratetreeservices.com/

Two men and a truck are great. They're fast and don't cost as much a you might think.

Though it's been quite a few years now, we were very happy with the job [Two Men and a Truck](http://www.twomenandatruckhuntsville.com/home) did. We needed help moving the big stuff, and the two guys hustled the entire time, on both ends of the move.

I always found 2 men and a truck too expensive. I posted an add on craigslist, hired 3 guys from one of the local colleges. I paid them $75 a piece. With the truck I was out a little over 200 and everything was taken care of.

This Side Up did a fantastic job with my last move.

This Side Up is very good, I'm a bit biased since I worked for them though. A couple of tips and things: - Take all your small stuff and oddly shaped stuff that you can by yourself, it's difficult to pack in the truck. - Also, take everything you can yourself. It will save you a good amount of money. Movers are good for big stuff. - Don't over pack boxes with books, they get really heavy and the boxes won't hold up. - They will give you an estimation for how long it will take, don't be surprised if it takes longer. Something always comes up that makes it take longer than expected. - The movers will love you if you offer them something to drink. - Please don't hover around and watch the movers every move. That was always awful. Let me know if you have any questions

I used Unicity Movers out of Elkmont and their schedule was much freer than Two Men's was. This was an issue cause we wanted to move ASAP but the closing date kept slipping. They moved ALL DAY, from a 1900 SF house to a 2400 SF house and I think it wasn't but around $700 (not counting tip). I'd highly recommend them.

We moved late last year (about 6 months ago) from a 3 bedroom house in Madison to a slightly larger house in Madison about 2 miles away. We used Motivated Movers, and they were great. Took about 3/4 a day with 3 guys and the cost ended up being about half the quote Two Men gave us.

I used Applewhite Movers for my move from south Huntsville to Harvest. They are 99$ an hour and gave a pretty accurate estimate. We actually got stuck in traffic for about 45 minutes and they didn't charge us for that time at all. Plus, they have a Groupon every now and then that is 99$ for the first two hours. They wrapped everything up nicely and had a good time while doing it all. Very up beat and ready to go. Highly recommend the guys. EDIT: And, as a bonus, they are local! So you can support the local businesses:)

We removed one a couple of summers ago ourselves by renting a grinder from A to Z Rental. It was much cheaper than any company but you need someone who can operate it and transport it.
