I will be moving back to Maine arriving in Brunswick around July 6th. What are good restaurants in Brunswick and Portland? Also how about events do you all get together?...

Little Lads, at 482 Congress St. in Portland, is a completely vegan restaurant, mainly a lunchtime & afternoon spot, with a buffet and sandwich options ! Other good veg-friendly places are Poms Thai on Congress St., as well as locations in South Portland, they have many veg options, and offer tofu and/or soymeat options for many dishes, their soymeat is excellent, great nuggets ! Shay's in Monument Square, Brian Boru on Center St., and The Dogfish cafe on Free St., all offer the locally made Blue Mango veggie burger, which is delicious topped with bbq sauce ! All 3 Portland Pie locations offer the Daiya vegan cheese as a topping option for all pizzas and breadsticks, they are delicious !

At Your Service Caterer in Saco. They do some impressive brunch and work with all budgets. They generally ask what you are looking for and what you have to spend per head while on the phone with you and come up with a few mock up menus to go over with you at your sit down. They do have some sample menus online.

I usually eat at Thia Siam in downtown, although it moved down the street..and might have another name? They have tofu and when I ask for no egg or fish sauce they don't blink an eye. There is a new place called Noodle One (where Thai Siam used to be located) that probably have vegan options! And if you get a chance, check out the Natural Living Center out by the mall. It's amazing, and has lots of grab and go vegan options.
