Gyms I have a membership to the YMCA, I normally go to one of the two Winter Park locations, but seeing as how one of them is going to close soon for renovations, I can...

I live in Orlando, so this may not apply to you, but you could look into city run gyms. The ones in Orlando are cheap and usually not crowded, because most people don't know they exist or don't think about them when looking for a gym.

Best gym I've gone to post college (Univ of FL) is YouFit Altamonte. It's a little over a year old, huge, and $10 a month ($20 with a free guest every time). Only thing is I go at 730 am so not sure about the time you go.

Planet Fatness is adequate for my needs. 10 bucks a month to visit one particular location, 20 if you bounce around the multiple ones and also you can bring a guest every time. I go there and Orange Theory ( also recommended except that one costs an arm and a leg)

la fitness is fine, half the price of the Y. 7 pm on Mondays will be busy but not bad other days. anytime before 5:30 is fine. I go after 8 pm if not 6:30 am.

I go to the WP Y regularly, when do these renovations start? I may have to do the same as you. I've gone to the YouFit on University and Goldenrod once when the Y was closed for a holiday. It was pretty good. They didn't have the weighted dip belt so I had to skip that. I also tried out the LA fitness in Oviedo. Holy crap is that a busy ass meat fest. I hated it. There were about a billion people there (Monday Evening, so it was probably peak for them). I may try to get a month to month at YouFit. I've been wanting to check [this place out too.](https://goo.gl/maps/PXmTiv5MqFR2) It's called Orlando Barbell. My only issue is kids. The WP Y is perfect to go with kids.

I'm pretty happily a member of Anytime Fitness. Ymmv by location based on what they offer. The one I usually go to (on the western end of 192 near where it terminates into 27) is usually busy and only has one power rack and some sort of 2 axis Smith Machine that lets the bar path a bit more naturally. This sucks for me as I do Stronglifts 5 x5 and need to occupy one or the other for 45 minutes to an hour. It's a bit on the expensive side compared to other places listed here (I pay just under $40 a month with taxes) but I don't mind paying extra for the convenience of multiple locations and 24 hour access.

Best kept secret for weight training is your local community center. http://www.cityoforlando.net/recreation/city-of-orlando-fitness-centers/ See what your local cc has to offer. The prices are very fair. Check the hours though.
