Are there any photos of the houses on the common , where walkers garage used to be in the 40's 50''s. My grandparents lived there and I have lovely memories of playing...

More info, Lesley? I should know Walkers Garage but not sure - was it at the top of the Link Common by The Nag's Head? Any names or locations to go with guest house and cafe? I have a Directory for 1938, might there be info I can find for you there?
Geoff L. replied:
Graham Garage was where the Moorlands Court flats are now. As the pictures show Walkers Garage was further up the road past the Nags Head. I think that the Cafe was later used by Walkers for their shop and spares departmant.
Paul F. replied:
Just caught up! The Oxford Coffee Tavern in earlier image was where the garage was... I think.
Lesley L. replied:
Apparently Errol Flyn stopped with them when he appeared at the theatre, and left without paying for his lodgings.
Paul F. replied:
This photograph from the "Malvern 1975" album in photo section, shows the nearby Graham Garage.
On that same block where it use to Y and go down Malvern there was a restaurant. Does anyone remember the name of it? I think it served mostly burgers and fries.
Bobby T. replied:
Yep, Steak n Shake. Mrs. Wolf from there also owned the Rock Court on Malvern.
