Hi Vivienne, Bahrain is trying very hard to have children with 'Autism' in mainstream schools both private and public.... It however depends on the scale, most children with 'mild autism' are often accepted in mainstream schools...I know Ibn Khuldoon National School accepts to admit children with "Autism" if however your child does not fit the criteria....you may need to look into special needs schools...my brother goes to the children's academy and we're very happy with his progress there...There are other schools off-course like RIA and Alia for Early Intervention... please join SFS Bahrain - Special Families Support Group for further info from families and therapists.
