I use 3 rd St Pediatrics. Dr. Auderman on Starke Blvd. She's younger and talks to kids on their level. She is all about outside referrals when necessary and researching all options in cases more complex than basic pediatric issues. She works great with Kadys drs in Akron.

My family and I will be moving to Glen Rose from Mansfield soon. I've never really been there besides for camping. Can anyone recommend anything for food and shopping?...
April H. replied:
Their is multiple parks. Soccer park, behind expo. Big Rocks which connects to Heritage park via the River walk. Theirs a tiny park by Sonic. David's and Brookshires for Groceries. I still buy my bulk of Groceries in Grambury to save money. I also have my children see a local Doctor (Turk). Theirs some I don't suggest but to each their own. The ER seems to be picking up quiet well. Take advantage of it during a true emergency but it's best to take your kids to Cooks Children's if you feel they can handle the drive and the small town hospital won't have the means to fully treat. (They also have transferred for us a time or two.) The EMS and fireman of Somervell county are the best. Our family, our friends, good men and women who volunteer to save life's and many of them have! Our SCSD is also wonderful. On point. Always shop local first in a small time. Helps the town thrive. If you need embroidery we have Cover me Fancy and The Embroidery Studio. Numerous shops around the square. Places to eat for Breakfast such as Debbie's who's been around here for a long time and Tacote and Happy Hippo for coffee, Tiger Corner has amazing kolaches and bakery! Consider Storiebook, Greenpickle, Bic Cup, and many other restaurants for lunch and dinner. We have two pharmacies. Both good. Kwik Kar, performance auto, Glen Rose auto parts. brunners.... For vehicle needs. I know I'm missing alot, but this should get you started. Welcome to Glen Rose! Also our schools are wonderful. Education here is no joke. I can say, after switching schools myself during senior year, Glen Rose holds the bar high. Excuse my typos. Rushing because of kids.

Doctor Flournoy is a great doctor! She takes care of my 3 children and my nephews for 13 years now. She also takes care of my daddy. It's a great community. Fossil Rim is awesome. Chachi's buffet on Thursday night is great!
Traci C. replied:
Dr Flournoy and her PA are amazing they been seeing my kids for 16 years now!
Mike L. replied:
If you're looking for a church, Grace Community Church on N. 56 is great.
Shirley H. replied:
Don't know one thing about Grlen Rose except I do know they have the very best of schools, that would be what I'm looking for. I think they have a David's. Some put their nose up about them not me they are my favorites but I'm an old woman. Good luck I think you will love it there, I live in Granbury.
Becky W. replied:
I live in stephenville but drive to glen rose to see Dr Karen Burroughs. She has also seen my kids for 20 years. We drive over to eat at the green pickle, loco coyote and others...and go to the pie Peddler sometimes. We go to Glen Rose to relax and and walk the river. My sister teaches there. It's a wonderful town
Cassandra R. replied:
I shop at Brookshires here in town for groceries. My husband and daughter see dr Schmidt, I see dr Burroghs and my son goes to a pedi in Granbury Dr. Wright. Green Pickle is awesome and you can't beat the schools.
Tammy H. replied:
I drive to Granbury for groceries. HEB. Spend double on groceries in Glen Rose. We go to the ER in Glen Rose. Always been a good experience. We see Dr. Turk. Love him. Heard wonderful things about Dr. Burroughs. Shopping on the square is nice for gifts/clothing. Pricey, but fun. Big rocks is always fun.
Marilyn R. replied:
Glen Rose is awesome quaint town, lots of good eating, and lots of fun to see what is around there.
I go to pediatric consultants in Ashland. They are very nice and they are the ones who are up at Ashland Samaritan hospital too. Tho if you want a pediatrician that has only one doctor I could ask Courtney Moore where she goes. Pretty sure she only has the one pediatrician.
Laurie T. replied:
Ask friends with kids, Mansfield Pediatrics is pretty popular. There is also one in Ashland.
Katie W. replied:
Dr Burns in Mansfield is where were gonna go. They're super close and Mom took us to him when we were little.
Toni D. replied:
Dr. Burns is the one Moriah had her whole childhood life! When she saw other doctors there, they were always wonderful!!! Nice front office staff too!
Courtney M. replied:
I go to Mansfield Pediatrics. They have more then one doctors but I continue seeing Doctor Redding. I have seen a few others on cases that she has had problems and they wanted me to bring her in that day or when doctor Redding was on vacation. They are nice there and if you have questions or concerns to bring your child in, I've always called the RN and they were able to set me up with appointments that day.
I'm in need of a new pediatrician immediately that is quick 2 get an appt....need some suggestions!
