Whittlesey Vets are the best, we take all ours there and have done since they were puppies. When the vet injected them she gives them a biscuit and my two GSD’s love going there as they associate it with getting a biscuit. The nurses are lovely and really caring for all the animals, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

If you wanted to try something different instead of a dog walker I would recommend Cambridgeshire Canine Creche in March! Great way to socialise your puppies with other dogs

I would recommend Doggy Day Care rather than a dog walker. My dog has been going since he was a pup and it’s a great way for them to socialise and they get a lot of one on one time which helps with training
Jacqui S. replied:
You are better off taking your animals out of town. If your hoping yo use any in town then I would go for Best Friends over Amical any day.

Lynda B. replied:
I'd recommend Dr. Kevin McKenzie, a human chiro from Nelson, who works out of Slocan Park Medical Clinic on Thursdays. He is very good at horse chiro, and will see horses in the local and Pass Crk areas in the later afternoons on Thursdays. Call the Slocan Pk clinic to book him for a horse. He is very affordable. Equine massage practitioner Cyndi Bird (formerly of Pass Creek) comes here once a month from Sicamous, and is excellent. You just missed her as she was here last week. Check out her website "Open Gaits."

Sharon Edgar is AMAZING & really pinpoints everything going on easily & watches how the horse moves & discusses your concerns, etc etc. VERY thorough! My horses really enjoy her treatments & I get amazing results under saddle afterwards. She travels all over too, residing north of Nelson (I'm in Fruitvale).

If you want your horse and dog done, Emma Kjelson, backinlinequinetherapy.com does Nelson all the way to the coast. She does, chiro, massage and reiki.

Afternoon ☺️
Have recently moved to the area and I'm looking for a really good vet to register my dog and cat with please?
Louise S. replied:
I would never use best friends ever again! They misdiagnosed our beautiful boy and unfortunately he died. The only good thing about that place is there is a really lovely veterinary nurse that works there but apart from that it's not good, you never see the same vet I think they use interns. We now use Whittlesey vets for our dog, there are only two vets so they get to know you and your pets which is great.

Whittlesey veterinary centre without any shadow of doubt. After the way Best friends treat my dog the vet was lucky he could walk away and he has my Mrs to thank for that. If it had been down to me I would have decked him.

Carl O. replied:
Definitely Best Friends. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
Can anyone recommend a good vet in March or Chatteris?
Caroline T. replied:
Whittlesey Vets worth the extra drive.
Tracy L. replied:
We had bad experiences with both Amical and Best Friends with our dogs, so on recommendation we have just taken our two new GSD pups to Whittlesey vets and I can highly recommend them. The extra drive is worth it for your animals to be treated by a vet who cares about them and not the money.
Sara-Jane I. replied:
ah is whittlesey good then Tracy Littler- If best friends had actually listened to me and done as I asked then our dog would not have died. And we have been told by other dog owners not to take ours to amical as its all about the money with them. But we went to Ely Isle Vets on recommendation and saw the two lady vets who were lovely. But they are not there now and there is a new women there who I don't rate at all - had we stuck with her poor Darwin here would have died as it was we were lucky and got another vet and he is still here with us now. But we really want a good vet. What is the one at Whittlesey called?
Kaz W. replied:
It isn't about the money with Amical... I know from recent experience ... I find them far nicer than Best Friends but that is my opinion ... everyone will have different experiences with different vets
Tracy L. replied:
I have to say that my experiences with Best Friends was about four years ago and Amical about two, so things change I guess, it's just that I couldn't bring myself after the experiences to take two new puppy's there and Whittlesey came highly recommended x
Maureen D. replied:
Posted yesterday with a link to Whittlesey Vets FB page but it seems to have been removed. Worth travelling the distance. Excellent!
Hi all new to March could I have opinions on the best vet please ?
Michelle P. replied:
We use Best Friends but are moving soon. Not overly impressed. Overcharging, not calling when meds are ready to pick up, taking a biopsy on a cyst on my Lab's tail which bled and leaked pus all over the reception area as they didn't clean / dress it etc. wouldn't recommend.
Jemma S. replied:
Personally i wouldnt use march, we use The Crossings in downham market, a vet called Ian Russell, ive found best treatment and doesnt charge the earth, x

Elmer Fudd ;)
Heidi S. replied:
Local, there isn't unless you get lucky and one of them has a good locum vet. They are ok for basics around here but nothing else really! Lauren the vet nurse at Best Friends however is brilliant! Ian Cope in Cambridge is the closest "rabbit vet" (that I know of) Aga Clark what practice is he at now? Sometimes you'll find a good one at Cromwell vets in Huntington, but not guaranteed.
