I ran into the same issue! There are some good sites like: http://www.herecomestheguide.com/southern-california/search/wedding-venues/ where you can specifically search for BYO caterers. Most BYO catering venues allow BYO alcohol. But, I agree - Taglyan is beautiful if you are thinking socal.
