I know this is a sensitive and highly personal choice but PLEASE could anyone message me with ideas as to which GP might suit me at Marlborough. Current GP super starchy...
Donna F. replied:
Dr Hanson & Dr Campbell
Donna K. replied:
Sarah Hart is the survey still going? Is this feedback on this tred useful to it??
Emily T. replied:
Dr Hook is very good. He is sympathetic enough but gets things done and helps you make an educated decision about your treatment. Feel very grateful to have found a great GP!
Jenny H. replied:
Dr. Smail is lovely. She is friendly and caring as well as proactive x
Sarah S. replied:
I have Dr hook and I think his beside manner is ace. But I feel you might be better suited to Dr sally hanson or Dr Campbell
Jacqueline A. replied:
Dr Hook is wonderful - very down to earth and empathetic,
Val C. replied:
it is perhaps letting the Patient Participation Group have some feedback; http://www.marlboroughdoctors.org.uk/ppg.aspx
Kayzia C. replied:
Dr Campbell (and no Relation so not being biased lol) and Dr hook are brilliant
Candi-marie E. replied:
Dr Hanson has been my dr for 20 years, she's amazing but she normally has a long waiting list and you can never see her if it's an emergency xx
Lucy A. replied:
You're definitely not alone in thinking that, Dr Deboo was great, her replacement is awful. Dr Freeman is brilliant. She has a lovely manner and is very good at her job. X
I know that it is a long shot... But worth a try.
My 7 month old grandson has bad eczema and the doctor has suggested silk sheets in his cot....!
Does anyone know where...
Hi, can anyone recommend a doctors surgery local to Marlborough where you dont have to wait seven weeks for an appointment? Marlborough surgery is useless!
Sian M. replied:
I changed my husband to Ramsbury surgery, much better for him
Janet L. replied:
Fact: during June, 1,260 patients at Marlborough Surgery had same day phone calls from the triage nurse or GPs. 509 had same day face to face consultations. If you need an urgent appointment you will be seen. If not you may have to wait and if you want your named Dr. you may have to wait longer. This is not just happening in this practice.
Rachel M. replied:
The problem isn't the surgery. It's the fact that mor and more houses/flats are being built meaning more people moving into our town and The surgery is stretched to capacity! We need a new one built or for Savernake to have a walk in facility.
Sarah S. replied:
I get seen pretty quick at Marlborough. Also my father in law was diagnosed with cancer and has since very sadly lost his fight, but I can honestly say that hand on heart Marlborough surgery and the district team we're second to none.
Sarah C. replied:
Burbage apparently very good docs, my parents & several people from surrounding villages I know go to Burbage surgery x
Kerry B. replied:
Marlborough surgery has been a nightmare for a while but my neighbour said that she had heard Burbage was set to join as a cooperative with Marlborough and Pewsey due to a lack of GP's in the near future so may be worthy enquiring at Ramsbury in case you end up in the same boat x
I have doctors in Pewsey this afternoon and then on to Savernake hospital after. 2 hours to kill between app, can anyone recommend anything worth going and having a look...
KJ B. replied:
Cossors shop is always worth a rummage, and Prospect shop, good little bookshop behind the bus stop if you get there in time. Applecart cafe is very good and if you are feeling ugly there are about 50 nail and hair places to sample. Miss Lemons craft and knitting if you are into that, and Around the World shop is good for gifty type stuff.
Em F. replied:
Also Round the world, fab little shop full of all sorts of nicknacks. If you are into crafting try Miss Lemons too
Sylvia R. replied:
