Download the 'Dog Vacay' ap. I used '2 Acre Doggie Paradise'. Dawn is wonderful and loving and welcomes your doggie into her home. My dog was with her for 6 days and I felt very comfortable leaving her there. She updated us daily with pics and videos while we were away.

We don't use a traditional boarding service, but we use Fetch PetCare. You basically take your pet to someone else's house, but you can communicate your preferences and meet the people before. It's nice bc we get updates and texts and pics and our dog is always with someone instead of sitting in a kennel.
