Looking for a good eye doctor in Maryville that will NOT be retiring in the next 20 years. Any help is appreciated. Please and Thank you!

I absolutely love Dr. Joseph Manning at The Eye Group. I go to the office in W. Knoxville on Kingston Pike just off Pellissippi. 11124 Kingston Pike, Suite 127, Knoxville, TN 37934, Phone:865.966.2020 I believe he has an office in Maryville and in South Knoxville. Our family has used him for about 10 years. He has weekend hours, early and late hours. Also he saved Jerry's eye when the retina came detached one time by quickly referring him for surgery.
Need suggestions on a good eye doctor in Maryville for my almost ten year old daughter. Anybody know of a good one?

Mabry sees Dr. Vines. They are in the process of moving downtown.

Dr. Spicer we have used him for years he his so sweet and very good with kids he has just moved to dr vines office
Susan D. replied:
Depends on if you want to see an optometrist or an ophthalmologist. Dr. Vines, who I don't know, is an optometrist. I'm partial to ophthalmologists since my daddy was one. Dr. Kirk Haun, in with Campbell and Cunningham and Haun, is who I use. He's over on Tuckaleechee in Maryville.

P & I use Dr Spicer and are moving with him to the new office
Judi F. replied:
I second Dr Spicer for children-nice looking, easy clear talking, slow moving...has 3 of his own
Can anybody recommend a Pediatric Ophthalmologist in Maryville? Or can you tell me who you take your kids to that isn't necessarily pediatric? I need to get Connor's...
Jennifer B. replied:
Not Maryville, but the best in area is Dr. Gitschlag. Pediatric. He is in dr offices by children's in kx. He does not take vision insurance, but most medical insurance seems to work.
Debbie H. replied:
Dr. Spicer with University Eye Center. I understand that he is opening his own practice. Derek and Cory went to him with they were very young. He had children of his own so he was extremely patient. They have continue to go to him through high school. Cory still goes to him.
Facebook friends I need your opinions. I'm needing some eye glasses, so what are your recommendations on where to go? I'd prefer an ophthalmologist , not an optometrist....
