Masquerade Tattoo in Middle Island. I see John. Looks like just a regular house from the street but it's gorgeous inside. The artists are fantastic.

Mike "Primo" over at Ink Sanctuary in Islip. I've recommended him to a lot of people. He's young but does great work.

Scotty Kelly at Superstition Tattoo in Massapequa. Super awesome custom work, especially Japanese style.

South shore tattoo in Amityville is great. Kings ave is awesome but the wait is ridiculous and so are the prices.

Lark Tattoo in Westbury, they have some really amazing artists there. Plus they have other artists that travel around the country come in and do work there too. I got my tattoo done there and I'm in love with it

Gina Sherry@Studio 69 in the islandia/Bohemia area. Vets highway. She did a lot of my work. Really cool place with great atmosphere.

I have been doing a lot of research on local artists, because I plan on getting some extensive work done. The 3 that I found for myself that I plan on checking out are Luke Loporto at Timmy's Tattoo in Huntington, Will Walker at Michael Angelo Ink in Medford and Mike Nomy at South Shore Tattoo in Amityville. I would definitely check them out. I plan on talking to either Luke or Will first, but they have really great artwork and tons of testimonials. Luke was mentioned a few times in /r/tattoos. I also did a lot of searching and asking around and browsed tons of different artists work, but those two people specifically stood out to me. It also has a lot to do with the type of tattoo you want. Luke Loporto has a lot of detailed pieces with sick shading. Will Walker specializes in realism and portraits. Mike Nomy seems to have a lot of colorful pieces and almost a new school feel to it.

Davinci's in Wantagh did 2 of my 3. I was really pleased with them. 3247 Sunrise Hwy Wantagh, NY 11793

If you for some reason end up at Tattoo Ritual in Farmingdale, DO NOT let Shane do your tattoo. He will quote you one price and then charge you a VERY different price (did it to both my friend and I...wasn't like we're strangers..we've known him for over a decade). I had to have my tattoo redone because he did a poor job overall, and ink came out and the lines were crooked.
