I'm an amateur photographer, or technically I have been paid but don't consider myself professional, and I've seen so many fabulous photographers in our area lately that amaze me with their work. One that immediately comes to mind is Michelle Martin Photography. You can look her up on FB and see some of her work. I'm actually thinking of shadowing her for a few shoots to try and get some of her technique to rub off. Her composition and use of lighting is stunning.
