Larry, I have three referrals for you! It is always good to have more than one estimate. 1) Arch 214-467-9700, 2) Stratum 214-302-8559 3) MBR 972-444-0303...All of these come highly recommended.Let me know how it goes for you.
Anyone know an electrician in McKinney or DFW area that is Licensed and reasonably priced?
Steve G. replied:
"Licensed electrician + reasonably priced" are words rarely used together. The best thing you can do is get a journeyman electrician who REALLY knows his stuff to do most of your easy / routine stuff that probably does not require a permit, and when you really need to pull permits (e.g. a rehab that you're going to sell retail, for example) then get yourself a master electrician. I have had great luck on Craigslist. There are lots of hungry master electricians on there - but you need to be smart about how you deal with someone from Craigslist. Find someone who says they are a master electrician, get their name and license number when you talk to them, verify it at http://www.tdlr.texas.gov/LicenseSearch/ , and before they do the job verify their ID and insurance. Get any bids in writing, and don't pay them a dime until the job is done. Optionally, check references if needed. Bam, its hard to lose if you do that.
Lena it happened to us also...Tracy Powell Foltz's husband Todd Foltz is a master Electrician, Foltz Electric...he got us back up in no time! Great Service!!!!
I need help from my Texas friends. I have called five different electricians and can not get a return phone call. I need to have installed outside a couple of outlets...

No. I spoke to one yesterday who was suppose to call me today and come out and give me an estimate but never heard from him. Christa Payton Martin. Who knew it would be so hard to hire an electrician
