Im located in Mechanic Falls. Does anyone know the closed place to see and maybe buy a llama?

I would say the most important thing is to buy a llama from someone that is knowledgeable, reputable and has taken good care of their llamas. Unfortunately there are llamas for sale by people who know nothing at all about them. Typically you do not wa nt to have only one, they are herd animals. Look up Hilary Ware in Norway. She has had llamas for about 30 years and is the llama/alpaca barn superintendent at Fryeburg Fair. She would be an invaluable llama connection. If you are interested PM and I can put you in touch.

We got our guard llama from the Blatchfords in Southern Maine - Misty has been excellent at her job, and Lynd really made sure we got a good guard animal (who is also people friendly). http://www.greenbriarllamas.com
