Are Pods going to be more expensive than hiring movers to move you to storage, unload at storage, and then move you again from storage to the new home? Seems to me a pod like solution would save a bunch of time and stress, especially since each load/unload increases a chance of valuable property being damaged.

I used All My Sons and they were really expensive. Like 1500 to move a two bedroom apartment 7 minutes down the road. Watch for hidden charges. Like they give you an hourly rate, then send two skinny dudes to move you so it takes 4 hours instead of 90 minutes. They didn't break anything though so I'll give them that.

We used Allied Pickfords - but they had to store our stuff for 6 months too. Excellent service. They moved us from NZ to Adelaide and then from Burnside to NOrthgate with 6 months storage in between.
