DON'T go to Mason's! They cork their flowers. Last year, the ones I ordered were dead in two days. They begrudgingly brought me a new one (after treating me like an idiot and trying to blame me for their death). My girlfriend uncorked these new ones when they arrived, remade the arrangement as best she could, and they lasted a week.

Ritzee Florist is a small, locally owned business near downtown on Dudley Street. Sharon is the owner & she does wonderful arrangements & even gives classes on how to design & arrange flowers. Their number is 1-901-525-1645
mechtonia replied:
The florist in Collierville are confused. They think that we are supposed to get screwed *whilst* purchasing the flowers instead of *after* we give them to our valentine. Seriously, its criminal what they try to charge for crappy little arrangements. They are literally twice the cost of what I paid at the local florist before moving to C'ville. So I stick with Fresh Market or Kroger now.

Garden District. Pricey, but worth every penny. I've received and given their arrangements, attended a few events that they've supplied the flowers...and they are jaw droppingly gorgeous, every time. Also Lynn Doyle. They did our wedding flowers. But that was 10 yrs ago and I haven't used them since. But they did a great job for us.

If you buy the flowers now, won't they be dead by the time October comes around?

Rachel's on poplar is highly recommended by my mom, who is the flower coordinator for her large church and works with them weekly. Their flowers are excellent and they are very easy to work with.
