Trish R. replied:
I was wondering about Dr. Veerula. When you google him, he and his office are reviewed terribly. I am looking for a doctor who has a more holistic approach and and would work with me on a delayed/alternative vaccine schedule.
Anna B. replied:
I went to Dr. Veerula's office, saw the nurse practitioner. Did not like them at all! We were asked ALL kinds of personal information, then the nurse talked down to me and treated me like I was a bad mom. Not cool.
Anna B. replied:
I take my girls to Dr. Tallo, he is super nice! Though, he hasn't asked about vaccines, and I don't bring it up either, lol!

Andrea M. replied:
We see Dr. Hirsch at TVP. At first, I wasn't sure, but the more we see him, the more I like him. He is very knowledgable. It has just taken a bit to build a relationship with him which is different than our last pediatrician. So, if he's the one you saw, maybe give him another chance. Feel free to pm me if you want to talk.
Sarah M. replied:
Meridian Pediatrics. They're all excellent there!
Angie S. replied:
Dr. Allyson VanSteenbergen at meridian pediatrics is the best. My boys love her and want to show her all they can do. The other docs are great too. They have worked hard to create a great culture there.
Sabrina A. replied:
Borron family medicine that I mentioned above I should clarify is for all ages. I have followed Brookney Borron through a couple of practices until now she has her own and she is awesome ! Staff is caring - excellent customer service and follow up and easy to get into. They care about the whole person and don't jump to just medicine first. I and both my kids see her - she genuinely cares. I've had her call the next day just to see how I was feeling.
Karen A. replied:
So I will throw my two cents in about an amazing pediatrician named Vaun Archibald with the Saint Alphonsus Pediatrics off of Liberty in Boise. He is amazing with kids and use to do news segments on Channel 7 for educational medical tips for parents. He is very direct and open with kids and really makes them feel comfortable. Our 12 and 8 year old really like him. He is very open and honest and really talks about the body changes with kids and with parents and really shows a support for the parents with the kids present. I would highly recommend him. http://www.saintalphonsus.org/body_regional.cfm?id=1079&action=detail&ref=4267

<3 Scott Schwendiman with St. Alphonsus Medical Group. He's a family practice doctor who has taken care of the twins and been Angelina's doctor since the day she was born. He was there for us as she started showing signs of developmental delay, when I diagnosed her Williams syndrome, and after the blood test confirmed it. He looks out for the whole family, not just the children he is seeing. <3
Hi moms, I am trying to get recommendations for a friend. She has a 19 month old whose pediatrician thinks he might be autistic, but really doesn't give her any help or...
Emily M. replied:
Northwest Neurobehavioral Health is great! Also call the Infant/Toddler Program with the Department of Health and Welfare. They are the federal government program that helps children between the ages of birth and 3. They can do assessments in all developmental areas to determine if a child needs specialized instruction. If she needs a pediatrician recommend, give her Dr. Barker's name with Treasure Valley Peds - she's wonderful!
Hilary H. replied:
She currently sends him to Dr. Khristine Miller, but is very unhappy. She did get a recommendation for Northwest Neurobehavorial through the Infant Toddler program and is in the process of filling out their paperwork, but really wanted to find a new general pediatrician. Thank you for the recommendations.
Sara O. replied:
We see Dr. Bradford at Meridian Pediatrics. She has been very knowledgeable, but also very open to giving us referrals to needed specialists (and knowledgeable on which ones to see). She is a kindhearted doctor who really takes time to listen to my concerns. We've seen and heard great things about many of the doctors at this practice. I know Dr. Bradford can be hard to get into at times....
Sara O. replied:
We also used Infant Toddler with our daughter when we were in need of some speech help. Our ped told us the wait can be long and the caseload huge, though we got in fairly quickly for speech evaluation. I don't know how this would compare with the neuro/behavioral stuff but your friend can fill out an "Ages and Stages" survey on line easily and then they will contact her to set up an eval.
Can anyone recommend a good pediatrician in meridian? Eric's dr retired and then the new PA he had went out on maternity leave. I think it's time for a new place.
