Went to Eciplse not the best experience so have just had a good experience at DR Larry
Belinda S. replied:
I know how Larry's surgery is cleaned and it is very hygienic. He has operated on my families animals and not one has ever got an infection. I don't think questioning his hygiene levels is very fair when he is one of the most respected and highly recommended vets in highfields. Dr Larry and his staff are great.
Karina A. replied:
Dr Larry is a very well respected, highly experienced vet. I'm sure his standards of hygiene are just as high as any other vet. I'm assuming if they weren't he would not be allowed to practice. We just had our gorgeous dog desexed there. Stitches have come out and she is fantastic.
Jill W. replied:

Hi guys, we found a baby possum that was hit by a car, he's a little hurt but in shock. Anyone have any details of a vet or wildlife carer that we can contact for help ??
Maria S. replied:
Talisha Baker
Bec H. replied:
Talisha Baker may be able to help otherwise I’m a carer in Toowoomba. Please don’t handle too much! Best to keep in a dark warm and quiet spot to limit stress. Don’t offer any sort of food or water whilst the animal is in shock
Tanya H. replied:
Judi Gray is a carer. Could you help Judi?
Tracey M. replied:
Nicola Coster is also a carer..
Judi G. replied:
I’m sorry I’m away tonight and can’t get him. If you haven’t contacted a carer yet, please put a towel in a box and close it up and keep him warm, dark and quiet and take to Eclipse Park vet at Highfields first thing tomorrow morning when they open so it can be assessed. They will then give whatever treatment required and pass onto a carer. I’m sorry I can’t help tonight!
Nikki G. replied:
Hiya. I used to be an RSPCA wildlife hero. If an animal was injured, we were told to call their emergency contact vet - it used to be the Greencross clinic in South Toowoomba, but call 1300 ANIMAL and they will be able to give you the latest details.

Our dog alerted me to an echidna who has made a wrong turn and ended up in our backyard... He is okay from what I can tell. And I finally got him into a box and inside...
Judi G. replied:
You shouldn't relocate it from its home range. If you haven't called a carer already- please do so ASAP. I'm a carer, and wildlife rescue Volunterr and can get the echidna assessed by an expert. Injuries from dogs aren't always obvious. Please call me on 0458155177
Recommendations on vets in the area. Adopt a dog on Monday from a rescue group. So chasing a vet that will be good with him

Plaza Circle Vet, Chris is a wonderful vet with compassion & sensational staff. He came to our home & put Whisky our cat to sleep when it was time, she had dementia, she was nearly 20. He is an extremely good vet & wonderful human being.

Dr Larry is great - been going there for 10 years. But you need a back up for 'specialist' things, especially if it's the middle of the night. I use Larry for the every day and Oakey (Darling Downs Vet Hospital) for operations, specialised care and out of hours.
Emily M. replied:
Dr Larry! He's my usual vet but when my dog broke his poor little leg i took him to the closest vet and that was by far the worst mistake I have ever made! Dr Larry helped my little man get back on track and actually talks you through everything.

I'm going to go against the crowd here; I was thoroughly impressed with the service and kindness of the vets at Plaza Circle Vet, near coles. The vets are friendly and courteous, and talk to you like you're a person and not just a paycheck; the nurses are lovely and always remember you and your pets, and they've been amazing in emergencies. Definitely a clinic I'd recommend, and will continue using throughout my pets' lives.

I've tried one of the vets in Highfields. Few times but have felt they were never thorough enough and just wanted to get you in and out. I travel to Toowoomba vet hospital and have been there plenty of times and always get friendly staff and super knowledgeable vets:) they also do loads of tests in house so you don't have to wait the next day for things like blood results.
Rachel T. replied:
Anthea Milburn I thought the same thing yesterday when I was in there! I was waiting for Dr Larry to come in and then whoa hello hotness. Lol. He is amazing tho, sorted out my poor puppy really well. Its a pity I dont have any other excuses to go back in there. Lol
This gets asked alot on here and I ALWAYS say Dr Larry
Teena B. replied:
Dr Larry definitely
