It's interesting, you are the 4 th person to mention that company. I called Garfield Pest and they are working on a possible formulation ..they didn't have any experience with bird mites . I'll see what they come back with..I was hoping for the most organic solution possible but I'm realizing that's probably not possible...

We have used Colonial Pest Control for nearly 10 years and they are great! We use them annually and they get rid of ants, fleas (we saw one flea on Buddy and they treated the entire house for fleas FREE),termites -- in fact, they even came with a bee suit to remove a massive bee's nest from the tractor tent since Tim is allergic to bees. They also have children/animal friendly options.

JP Pest is awesome. They are always on time, call me every quarter to schedule the appointment, and have a green option. The also have a wildlife division in case you get anything bigger. We have also used their exclusion service (i.e. seal the house) with great success.

I second JP Pest! The initial inspection is free and I also signed up for the quarterly program for ongoing maintenance. They plugged up areas where they could be getting in, set poison traps inside and out. At the first subsequent visit only poison from the outside traps was missing (meaning they weren’t getting in). I’ve had a couple different service people at the house and they’re all very friendly and knowledgeable.
