DO NOT go to Laurie @ Straight Stitch on Dirt Rd in Merrimack. I'm not going to post MY HORROR STORY experience about how she completely BUTCHERED MY DRESS (which is an understatement) then made me pay an extra $200 on top of the $600 to she originally charged me to fix HER MISTAKES! but I will say I regret going to her and I wish I went somewhere else. I literally can't believe I was even able to wear my dress... But I had NO CHOICE because until the day before my wedding she still had my dress so I couldn't even take to somewhere else. I can't begin to tell you everything she did wrong..... It was a complete nightmare!!!!! She might be fine doing a simple Hem job but I would trust her with a wedding dress. That's just my opinion /experience

Maria, Alterations by Anna's Daughter, is wonderful. She did my wedding dress which was a little bit of everything (lace, beads, layers, etc) and altered it so well it didn't even look like it was touched. She also made my flower girls dresses and altered a bunch of my bridesmaids dress. She is absolutely WONDERFUL!
