I use Dr. Javier Andreu at Pets and Vets, but he is on 79 th St so that may not be doable for you! Prices much more reasonable than most!

I buy my cat Now Fresh grain free food online and Soulistic canned food from Petco. It has completely cleared up his urinary problem that he used to suffer with. This diet can also help with diabetes. Simone is right, definitely do your own research because in my experience... vets will rarely give you a diagnoses or fix a problem, but they will happily take your money. It's so unfortunate because once a person has this experience they are reluctant to go back to the vet when their pets get sick. They have a fear of being ripped off and not receiving good care. Very sad and the animals suffer for it and they are the ones the vets take an oath to help! As you can see I have been through it many many times with my pets over the years. Although I truly cannot vouch for any vet (how sad), I did have a decent experience at Animal Welfare Society in Coconut Grove 33133. Prices are a little more fair and the doctor spends time. It's off I95 about 15 mins from South Beach. Good luck Angelo!
Lisa K. replied:
Angelo, yes Petco has the Soulistic cans and you can find Now Fresh online (amazon.com or wag.com, etc.)
Vivian P. replied:
love SOulistic...yes, Lisa, i agree. Many just think its a business. My poor dog..them telling me to consider putting her down! i was seething. I too have used Animal Welfare on SW 27 ave and now they are open till midnite and on weekends till 6 p.m. Also Coconut Grove Animal Hospital, Drs. Marmesh (father and daughter team), they too are great and reasonable prices, walk ins too. And they are good with the animals.

I know Vivian Perez I was just starting out trapping in my neighborhood .. I did not know any better !! I was trying to find a decent hospital !! I have been to all the major clinics of Miami Beach . A year ago i found the Miami Dade Animal Services which a great place to bring all feral cats !!!

Mary Thingelstad: Simon had upper respiratory infection or allergy . Got medicine for him twice but nothing happened ! Linda who is very hard to handle was given a shot for her hair loss from too much grooming ... She never healed ! Lucille who has diabetes was brought in 3 times, she developed rash under her belly from 4 different medications, which I had to stop . Wasted my money on these also !!

Miami Shores Animal Clinic, 570 NW 103 rd St, Miami, FL 33150. They accept Cat Network Certs and accept cats in traps with a cert 5 or 6 days a week. Drop off in morning, pick up late afternoon (just call ahead for exact times). I have also brought my dog there for heartworm testing. They are pretty good. I would recommend them for bringing the strays in traps/carriers to be fixed, but you must have a certificate, which you can buy via The Cat Network or you can bring cat/s to The Meow Mobile and get their schedule: www.thecatnetwork.org (I think they are coming back to Miami Beach soon).

its terrible, Angelo. We had four dogs and when one had cancer they would not work with me after we went there for years, even my parent went there. They wanted approx $3 thousand for the dogs cancer surgery and when i said i did not have the money if they could work out payment plans, i was always there with my dogs and cats, they said that maybe i should consider putting her down. i said that was NOT an option. So i shopped for vets. Found Bild Animal Hospital

I believe Dr. Bach is a great doctor. And (in my mind) a great doctor is always great with every single patient unless you want a specialist of some sort.

Dr. James Edmiston in downtown Miami Shores next to Pizza Fiore. Guy is so cool- aging hippie and hates the insurance companies.
