At the time the two photos of the Port of Miami were taken (1976-77) Tom was working there at Belcher Towing.. BUT, these are the Two Tugs we ran in a private lake on the west side of the airport. Lehigh Portland cement co. a Rock Quarry.. THEE only one i Ever saw to use Tug Boats to get the rock to the crusher from the Draglines digging rock out back.. And a Very FUN Job to have.. For a Rock Pit... LOL

Rick that IS pretty cool, that's about the Last time i went to see him on 216 th street back then, I had moved to NC. but we worked together at LeHigh Cement co. on the other side of the Palmetto, Okeechobee road, Meadly area till they folded last month of 1974, Tom went to Belcher then. here is a photo of Tom goffing off, Parade Rest with a broom on the work barge.. Did you ever keep in touch with Him Richard..??

Coastal is no more. Mr. Wyatt got in some trouble with the fed for importing oil from Iraq, a bunch of SEC issues and eventually sold the Coastal Corp. and all of it's assets in the early 2000's. My dad (David Spellman rest his soul) was the manager of the Lefferts Blvd. oil terminal in NY, started as Belcher and ended as Coastal when he passed on. I'd love to see some pics of both brands.
