Jasper Engines is the best replacement engine (unless someone is foolish enough to go to a dealer.) Regardless of which shop you visit, ask about Jasper. We had one out in an F250 about four years ago and it runs like a fine watch.

I second Jasper Engines! I've bought a few work trucks that needed motors and have beat the crap out of them! For instance there have been times that I've been stuck and just floored it way beyond redline until I got out or was completely stuck. Never had an issue.
