Bike repair Do you know of anyone who does great bike work without a huge waitlist? Need to get some work done and most of the shops are several weeks out on getting...

If you're interested in DIYing it, it's very easy to do. If you can replace a deraileur, you can ~~dodge a ball~~ replace a spoke. The only catch is you need the specific spoke-key for your spokes. I don't have one, and if I had the one for my (former) bike, there's no guarantee it'd fit yours. Yet be hopeful! You could have one Amazon'ed to you just as fast as I'd get one, and way faster than the shop could get to you. Perhaps another redditor can lend you theirs? I don't know which redditor to tag for this.

Outpost just replaced a spoke for me. Took 3 days. Other jobs will take longer.

Hi Carrie, there are a lot of good cafe stops on the island and all are cycle friendly. In Brodick try Janie's at Duchess Court Shops, Lochranza has Stags and the Sandwich Station at the pier, in Machrie there is Cafe Thyme then Machrie Tearoom at the Golf Club. Southend of the island has Lagg Hotel, Whiting Bay has Coffee Pot and Coast then Lamlash has the Old Pier Cafe. Which way are you heading first - north or south?
