I'll put another vote in for Five, since vodka was a requirement. Otherwise Venus is a great spot (only beer and wine), and if sake's an option, Kiraku (Japanese tapas) is incredible. Oh, East Bay Spice Co. has vodka — but it's crazy trendy and will probably be packed to the gills on a show night.

I just had dinner at Morandi's, my favorite New York restaurant in the Village. 211 Waverly Place. I recommend it highly! Good food and good people watching.
