Anyone have suggestions on a great place in NY to camp with a 36' trailer? We have been to Letchworth state park and a spot near lake Placid but other than that have...

For kayaking, fishing and hiking... and with a 36 footer... Fish Creek or Rollins would be my top pick. Haven't seen anywhere that has the phenomenal paddling/fishcing options that FCP/Rollins offers. Next to that there I'd pick Lewey Lake, Cranberry lake, Meacham Lake or maybe Moffit Beach. Of course the longer trailer will limit the number of available sites to pick from at each campground. Even Eighth lake, one of ouor favorites will have a handful of sites that would work for you. If you have longer kayaks and don't mind larger water like the St Lawrence, then look at Wellesley Island, Krings Point or Coles Creek. See http://campadk.com/campsitephotos.html for photos of most of these campgrounds.
