For vegetables you still have plenty of time (depending where you live I suppose) to grow tomatoes, cucumbers and squash from seed. As far as pear trees are concerned the first thing you need to consider is that most pear trees need cross pollinations. There may be some self pollinators out there that I am unfamiliar with. Most trees are sold between 1-3 years old so you should start to see fruit fairly quickly, but not a full crop until 5-7 years. Some dwarf trees will produce sooner. Unfortunately I don't have any recommendations for online nurseries. But would think if you gave a local mom and pop nursery would still have vegetables. Best of luck to you.

Are you in the UK? If so I can share the online nurseries I've had success with and which I'd probably give a miss.

I have just purchased from https://www.streambankgardens.com and the starting vegetables I received (Cauliflower & Eggplant) look very strong. Very cheap prices! I was skeptical at first as the website is a bit wonky, but I am definitely using this from now on.
