Can anyone recommend a good, fast, cheap internet service? I am about to disconnect my TWC service.

There's plenty of horror stories from Time Warner, as well. Is AT&T evil? As compared to... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_assets_owned_by_Time_Warner

Things to bear in mind. Your service is only as good as the delivery medium. A coaxial cable (TWC) is far superior to twisted pair (ATT) for data. The phone wires in your neighborhood may not support high speed internet as they may have been there since the 40's. CableTV is better suited to this service. I have heard some wild claims about ATT's speed. If you want to check your actual speed, click here: http://www.speedtest.net/ Believe it or not, customer service is relative. Hang up & call back.

when we first signed up for ATT Uverse there were a couple of glitches with billing...more related to merging our existing landlines, celll phones and dsl service into one package....but the actual internet service has been rock solid.
Suggestions for a really good and reliable internet service provider.
Please - anything other than AT&T or Time Warner!!!
Thanks!

I called last year and they were super back logged. They are the new residential wing of the locally owned ethoplex. My company has had ethoplex for a number of years and they are very reliable and good service. Nothing will be perfect but even with issues, we like them significantly more than the big 2. https://www.signalisp.com

I have an old one you can have, it will only go up to the 20 mb/s, anything higher and you'd have to get a different modem. http://www.timewarnercable.com/en/residential-home/support/topics/internet/buy-your-modem.html

Well, it's not much cheaper, but I love AT&T Uverse.
