We have Home Fusion thru Verizon...$60/month. We didn't have too many choices. We had trouble at first but it's been fine ever since (1-1/2 years or so). I can't say it's any faster than what clearWave was but I didn't want to go with Hickory Tech. I don't know if it's still the same now but if they have to come out and look at anything it's an automatic $150 which I think stinks because they should guarantee their product a little bit better! You can buy insurance for around $7 a month at least that's what it was so you don't have to pay the $150 if they should have to come to your house but I think that's crappy too! At that time when I first got it I was not told that I could even buy the insurance per month so after the 30 days I was in ineligible to even buy it at that time which I wouldn't have anyway because I'm already paying $60 a month. So what it comes down to is we pay $60 a month with no warranty. But after the first month or so when we got the bugs out of it all it's been working fine ever since. Oh yeah and I had to sign up for a two-year contract...go figure! I have no idea if that is still what they make you do now or not. Good luck.
Mandi R. replied:
There is still a 2 yr contract Jane Grunst Gappa. That $60 gets you 4 gb of usage so it's not unlimited. The way Paul and the girls leave things open, we'd be in trouble. That's why we don't have it even though we both work for the company. If there was a cheap unlimited option it would be our choice though.
Matt G. replied:
Yes it does. Our only option prior to this was clearwave which is now gone. We are on the 2.5 m speed. Streams Netflix on t.v.s etc. With no issues.

I had USI Wireless for years. Awesome people and. Support. I work from home and need to video chat. Though I upped the speed, I still had trouble. Broke down to try Comcast and it's been flawless. Wish I could have stayed with USI.

I have Century Link now. I have never had any outages or problems with my internet. When I had Comcast, it was nothing but problems.

I want USI but I don't know if it would work well in a stucco home. I had Comcast-terrible service. Now I have century link, bundled with a landline.
ISO alternate Internet Service Providers in the Elk River. We currently have Charter but are not happy with the recent price hike and would like options.

Century Link is horrible in my opinion. My parents have them & I can't tell you how many times I've had to call their customer service for problems and I knew more about the stuff than they did.
I am moving soon and looking for a new internet service provider. Any recommendations? Does anyone use/recommend USI Wireless, the City of Minneapolis Wifi? Thanks!
I have a friend who lives in Hawaii and is also a Vikings fan. He is looking for reliable internet service to watch the vikings. Anyone have any idea how Paul Takeo...
