We have used Ontario Duct Cleaning. Reasonably priced, in my opinion. As for covering up the vents, they actually did that for us for that exact reason- for better suction for a better clean. I recommend them and I would use them again when I need them.

DON'T use Monster Duct Cleaning - terrible job and they want to up sell things you don't need like a furnace filter for $100. This was actually a Wagjag deal and I called to complain. Took weeks to clean the dust cloud everywhere because they blow the vents and didn't cover them. I heard they go under other names as well. BEWARE!!
