Call the Etobicoke Medical center, they're fantastic and you can pick between a few doctors accepting patients, male or female doesn't matter. 400 The East Mall, Etobicoke, ON M9B 3Z9 (416) 621-2220 If there's any openings with Dr. Caroline Render-Teixiera I highly recommend. So sweet and caring.

I highly recommend Dr. Mary Botros - It's easy to book an appointment, she's friendly and thorough - located 223 Ceremonial Drive, Unit 3, Mississauga - 905-507-2224. She started her own practice in 2015 after years of working in other locations.

Family doctors recommendations in or around Mississauga Hey,
Can anyone recommend a decent family doctor in Mississauga or Oakville area?

Fady Ghaly at Bristol Family is the best family doc in ‘Sauga. I moved here a while ago and went through a whole bunch of docs before finally meeting him. He asks lots of questions, makes time for you as best as he can, gives you an explanation for every treatment option and will also email you prescriptions etc if you cannot go to him in person. Highly recommend

You basically search and call offices to ask - I had to for a couple weeks before finding one.
TJDx2 replied:
contact the licensing authority www.cpso.on.ca - it will give you a list by locations, if accepting new patients, and you can check if they have any complaints, languages spoken, etc. etc.

weve been going to the Port Credit Medical Centre located in back of the IGA drug store in the Metro grocery store mall by the Adamson Estate... Dr Kashani and Dr Ramadan are both good.

I'm not sure if she's still accepting patients but Dr Finn at Dixie Road Medical Associates is wonderful! I've also seen Dr Barwell and Dr Attala (both female), and liked them as well. There's a lab and a pharmacy in the building. Only downside I find is that it's often VERY busy and can get quite delayed, and it's hard to get through on their phone lines to book appointments but they now offer bookings via email which is much easier!

Looking for a new family doctor (in Mississauga West preferably). Any recommendations?
askoorb replied:
A Family Health Team any day of the week.
The two in Mississauga are:
* https://www.summervillefht.com
* https://www.cvfht.ca
They get extra cash so you have same day appointments along with a whole host of other benefits (normally including mental health care on site). Oh, and they have evening and weekend access for urgent issues free of charge
> Family Health Teams are primary health care organizations that include a team of family physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, dietitians, and other professionals who work together to provide primary health care for their community. They ensure that people receive the care they need in their communities, as each team is set-up based on local health and community needs.
> Family Health Teams were created to expand access to comprehensive family health care services across Ontario. Since 2005, 184 Family Health Teams have been operationalized through five waves of implementation, with the last 50 implemented in 2011/12. There are currently over 3 million Ontarians enrolled in Family Health Teams in over 200 communities across Ontario.
