Recommendation for boxing/MMA gyms I've done boxing for about 3 months, would love to get back into it. Any recommendations for a great boxing/MMA gym, preferably around...

Kombat arts has been around for ages and I know a few people who've gone there, but there is also a new(er) "UFC" gym near SQ1 http://www.kombatarts.com/ https://ufcgym.com/mississauga

We've got some pretty intense boxing, martial arts trainers at Goodlife in Square One. You wouldn't be able to spar but you'd get some killer workouts
Hi I just moved here and I'm looking for a new gym! As the title states, I just moved here this weekend (Eglinton/Mississauga Rd) and I'm looking to find a new gym asap!...

Well you have two options: Lifetime Fitness at Winston Churchill/403 is probably the fanciest gym in your area, it costs roughly $150 or so a month per person. They have top notch facilities and have ample equipment to use. They have swimming pools, soccer field, squash courts, etc. Goodlife Fitness at Mavis/401 (Britannia/Mavis) is also an option, they are $40 or so a month and are also good, but can get quite crowded therefore the facility usage can be hindered depending on the time you come.

Forge Performance and Battalion Fitness are great if you're looking for more of a powerlifting scene. UFC's fight classes are awesome, though there's only one rack. Lifetime is fancy if you're looking for a spa-type gym. Planet Fitness is a great no-frills backup with machines and freeweights for $10.

Condos sometimes have decent gyms. Try waiting outside and walk in when somebody leaves. The added bonus is that it costs nothing and is a victimless crime!

[Habitual Fitness](https://www.habitual.ca/) at Burnhamthorpe and Mavis is the best gym in Mississauga! They recently doubled their space, the have lots of boot camps and classes, and it has a really cool vibe that you don't get at Good Life.
Can anyone recommend a fitness place? Not looking for a gym, but rather someplace to take group classes like boot camp, weights, etc.

Orange Theory Creekside Mall Mississauga Dixie Dundas will be opening on the Lakeshore in that new two-story Mall in Lakeview I believe Sometime Late fall. I go to group classes at the Creekside mall location currently and really enjoy the concept. There is a new one just opened on Confederation Parkway West of City Hall. PM me if you'd like more info or to arrange a free trial pass.

Hi. I will be in Mississauga for a few weeks and was wondering if anyone can recommend any gyms that I can sign up for on a monthly basis. Thanks! I am looking for...
FIT4LESS at millcreek and erin mills. It's actually free these days. No counterperson on nights and the gate is left open due to the card tapper not working.

Check out the YMCA near Square One.

I go to a really fun gym on Mississauga road directly south of 401 called FreeRun Inc. it's themed around obstacle course races like the spartan race and tough mudder. They have an indoor obstacle course with a lot of the stuff you find at those races. They also have a functional training area with a lot of the basic stuff u find at a normal gym + other things I don't usually see at an average gym (giant tires, kegs, sandbags, a thing that looks like a sledge hammer but isn't) They have classes going on all the time that u can join as long as u have a membership. It's really fun but it's more expensive at about 100 per month. You can come and try a class for free as a trial.

Not sure how far it is for you, but royal Windsor fitness is a good gym

I don't know much, but around the Erin Mills area there is a Lifetime fitness which probably has monthly memberships. You can also try some municipal community centers like Rivergrove. There is also a GoodLife fitness in meadowvale I think

We go to PCA and have had a good experience with it. It was the cheapest option for us within the driving range we were willing to travel and they have a lot of other perks there that make sense for our family. It is not at all intimidating which is great. Not sure about equipment being broken and unfixed as I haven't had that experience. I would like to try Planet Fitness but I find the further you have to travel to the gym the less likely you are to go often.
Jen B. replied:
I've been at Port Credit Athletics for several years. I really like it... its not the newest but its inexpensive and has everything. Also, its a very friendly non-intimidating environment.
Courtney S. replied:
Not sure how far away it would be for you/how far you’re willing to travel but World Gym at Winston Churchill & the Collegeway is $10/month
Cindy D. replied:
Don’t go to One health club it’s cost a lot I don’t do gyms now I work from home with a natural nutrition program and I exercise outside
Stephanie S. replied:
If you're willing to travel, Planet Fitness is $10 a month (HST on top), they do offer classes at no extra expense, have a ton of equipment and is open 24 hours to suit your needs. I joined the one in Burlington in August and I'm a big fan.
I am looking for someone who can set up my Total Gym .. I have all the instructions but due to a disability am not able to do it myself please message me
Can anyone recommend a good gym in the area that has fitness classes? I am looking to join only short-term, preferably on a month-by-month basis, so don`t want to sign...
It seems that Curves in Lakeview and Clarkson have closed permanently. Are there any other women only gyms nearby (Clarkson, Port Credit, Lakeview, Longbranch)?
