Also... Demask tattoo is female owned & has vegan ink (but I don't think the artists are, and same for Suzanna Fisher who used to work there, and now has her own shoppe, Belleweather tattoo.

There was an article awhile back in the stranger about this. I go to Krysten Dae at Rabid Hands. Sara Purr at that shop is also vegan. Scapegoat in Portland is the ultimate vegan tattoo shop.

My wife has had two tattoos done by Ivan at Altered Skin, both dealing with her Norwegian heritage and Scandinavian mythology. He was super into studying up on the references she wanted in her tattoos and making original designs that fit her wants and fit in with the traditions behind them. He definitely did his best to come up with something unique while keeping in mind the references she gave him.

Kyle at "Every Mother's Nightmare" is great! He's a super chill family dude. His wife is a photographer and he plays in a band, too. Not that those things have anything to do with tattoo skill, but gave me a better vibe for the dude. Easy to talk to, listens to music during your session and just a really good dude. He's the owner and only artist so no other customers or anything while you're there
