I think I'm gonna be needing an orthopedic doctor/surgeon who is a hip specialist pretty soon. Problem is, the Dr. who replaced my right hip years ago (and is already...

Dr. Granberry at AOC

Dr. Nimitz does do hips, he replaced mine back in 2011 when it started to fail. His partner Dr. Su did the surgery and I haven't had complaints since. Perhaps worth a shot.

Amy Shirley, my previous 2 ortho doctors were at AL Orthopedic but they won't take me any more because no body wants to take Medicaid now. Dr. Granberry replaced my right hip when it broke. I had the same Medicaid back then. But nobody at AL Ortho will take me now.

It has been a nightmare every time I've had to go USA Hospital and be admitted. But I may not have a choice now. When I broke my right hip, I was actually IN Providence Hospital... telling them it was about to break, and after an x-ray and MRI, they said there was nothing wrong but a little fluid on the joint and for me to stay on crutches for 2 weeks and I'll be fine... the doctor left the room, I started to sit down on the bed, and,,, broke the ball right off of my hip. Another HUGE issue is the fact that none of the local hospitals will give Demerol any more, and that is the only narcotic my body tolerates. I am terrified of having to go in the hospital for any reason because of that. And now that I have severe pain in my left hip, I seriously don't know what to do.

I don't know about Medicaid but Dr Patton at AL Orthopedic Clinic is good. He has operated on me twice and my mother once and good results.
