Best Friends Pet Hospital on Foothill is the best. I have had a lot of pets and gone to many vets, but by far, the best is Dr. Hardy. The whole office staff is awesome. We have been very pleased every time.

Bre Kerwin Corrales, Dr. Wheat from Arcadia is an amazing equine vet. He gets to the root of problem as fast as he can, he doesn't try to drag (and charge) it out for as long as possible as I have seen others do. He has co-Doctored alongside specialists when we had to have surgery.

FYI Dr. Domotor gets mad if her girls are not up charging and selling services.

Last year, our chihuahua mix was having seizures and they took the most wonderful care of him ❤️ I was just there yesterday with one of my dogs and was ready to spend a few hundred on X-rays etc and Dr. Hu said there's no need. They've always done what's needed and not pushed me to do more. Really great at talking me through any health issues my dogs are having and one of the most reasonable vets in Monrovia on my wallet.

As someone that loves my pets and cant be without them, I would look either for family who can take me and my pets in~or the Extended Stay (5 th and Santa Clara) or the Marriott Residence Inn (Santa Clara/Huntington Dr)... You dont mention if you have dogs/cats or combo but I have seen many people fondly refer others to Wonder Dog Ranch as well as I follow their page..

Everyone who works there is very nice and whenever my pup has an issue, they've been quick to give me a same day appointment. They don't try to upsell you like many other vets & they really take the time to listen and explain any procedures or medicinal recommendations. Pricing is very fair.

Many cats do not drink enough water, if you feed dry food change to wet food wettest possible ASAP during hot days especially. (The Frisk'y Turkey Dinner With Gravy is a good example) Check her box and make sure she is urinating.

I know several people have already mentioned it, but Family Cat and Dog in Monrovia. We had our dog's done last year in February to take advantage of the special they do that month. It was about $600-$700 with sedation. I'm sure a cat would be a different rate. They brought me back and showed me all of the before and after pictures when I went to pick up our dog.

We no longer go to any of the local places for teeth cleaning ever since we found out about Kinder4 rescue Low Cost Vet Clinic in North Hollywood. They will do a $1000+ job for half price and they've become experts at it. They're on Vineland in North Hollywood.

Yes! Check with Family Dog and Cat Hospital. They do run a special in February for dental month. My cat did have to have sedation for cleaning so you still might have that, but they will give you a fair and honest exam and cost. VCA in my opinion is more costly..

Duarte Animal Hospital Dr. Z is the greatest

We just adopted a kitten from Downey Animal Control. Initially I called Banfield/PetSmart but it would be a week before they could get us in and we had to do our "Free" Checkup before then. I called Dr Domotor and they got us in the next day. They told us they offer 1/2 price shots on Wed and Sat after 1 pm. They were very nice and even followed up a couple of days later to see how we were getting along. We met with Dr. Owen.

I love Family Dog and Cat Hospital, it closer to me & they are nice people. They send someone over to my apartment to pick up my cat so I wouldn't have to walk there.

Dr. Domotor is HORRIBLE a rip off and I have no issues paying for my baby BUT!!!!!!!!! my experince with Domotor was horrofic:( they sell you meds in abundance and misdiagnosed!

It's a bit of a drive, but we love Dr. Henstra. She's in alhambra in mission rd. Been a dear family friend for almost 30 years. She doesn't charge an arm and a leg, and is very honest.

Dr. Domotors is high priced and requires too many unnecessary visits. The same goes for VCA. I personally love vanderhoof. Amazing doc's especially for teeth pulling and cleaning. Had to have 7 teeth pulled last summer on my 17 year old and he did awesome:), and I did get many opinions first but settled with Vanderhoof. Also hes good with monitoring diseases and stuff. Both Dr. Domotor's and Family Dog and Cat are great! I've worked both places and they are absolutely comparable on quality. My parents adopted a dog who's teeth were the worst I'd ever seen and Family Dog and Cat saved the only four that could be saved, pulled the rest, cost was very reasonable, happy dog and family:-) I'm confident in both places. If you are looking for anesthesia free, the Dog Zone offers that every month. I've heard great things.
