I read the article, but it sounds more like a bad instructor rather than an indictment of yoga to me, in the huff article. It only takes a 200 hour certification to put a young instructor on the floor. The Dr. W article is way out there. I've seen a few article lately where I question whether the author's stance is just a way of getting himself noticed as some sort of expert. Ask around for a good teacher, and if it hurts, don't do it. That is just a good rule in life. Yoga wouldn't have lasted 4000 years if there weren't something miraculously healing about it.

in addition to my above post, she should do a cleanse. plz have her go to www.standardprocess.com and locate a provider in her area that can offer her the Purification and Detox Program. It's very good. After that, have her try a Paleo style diet. I am willing to bet all her problems will go away.

I second the recommendation for Dr. Naomi Grobstein (Family Health Center in Montclair, which is now part of Summit Medical Group). 973-744-8511. She is very low key, not an alarmist, only sends you for tests she thinks you actually need. She keeps exc ellent records (she uses a computer, which I have no problem with) and although she is quiet, when you get to know her you realize she has a great, dry sense of humor. She actually listens to you.

Another good thing about Dr. Grobstein - she uses a (private, secure) online system where she posts your test results and messages you about what they mean - so you get your results right away without having to call and be put on hold or have the doctor call you back or whatever.

Dr.John V. Kelly & Dr. M. Gentile used to be partners,...found out later Gentile embezzled money from his & Kellys practice...I heard you rarely get to see Kelly,only associates.

I agree about Dr Grobstein, some people dont like her personality but once you gett to know her she is an excellent doctor, doesnt jump the gun making hasty decisions, exploresall avenues of treatment. I hate the computer also, thats the way of the times. Also like the fact I can communicate via relay healh.

Heard good things about Dr Pastena also.
