Actually, I don't know a lot about PA programs specifically. However, to apply for any graduate school program (including PA progs), a candidate from a foreign country will need the following to enroll: 1- GRE scores - according to the program( some progs require, others don't ). 2- TOEFL 3- Your medical degree translated then evaluated via www.ece.org. 4- Personal statement 5- Statement of financial support. Note: it's up to the program's committee to accept or reject your application

I guess some programs require GRE, some don't. Bottom line, if you didn't do any grad. Schools in USA you'll need TOEFL & you'll need to process your credentials through www.ece.org

I have met a few physician assistant students in different places. They all agreed that the hardest part of the application is the clinical experience. Most programs require clinical experience to be eligible, one student I met at the Cleveland Clinic said they need 1000 hours of clinical experience to get into school. It's a 2 year program, 1 st year is academic and the second year is clinical rotations. It is highly competitive as PAs are well paid, get to do most of what an MD does yet have much less responsibility. It is not an easy back up plan. It needs hard work and dedication to get into PA school.

The Department of Managed Health Care http://www.dmhc.ca.gov/ regulates these fools. If you want to go that route (after you've got a cast), lets just say I know people who know people and would love to help.

I triple that. They will take care of her at the ER and the insurance will get worked out. They can't debate the ER on medical necessity which is what the hang up now is. If you think it will help you can also take her to the Orthopedic Hospital urgent care.

I have avoided the hoops by going to an urgent care service provider. I only had to pay the usual copay and they have on separate ocassion taken xrays, sanograms, drawn blood for multiple blood panels and re-set a broken finger. I've been with Deanna Khan for 8 years I love her she's the best dr! I've had friends switch to her & then are all happy. She cares & she gives you her cell for emergencies. She found my sons issue right away. She treats all 3 of my kids

Healthcare Partners in Montebello Plaza. I love primary care doctor Jonathan Chien and ob-gyn doctor Lisa Vasquez. The nurses are also very nice. Their Urgent care has great hours.

I heard many good things about Dr. John Hernandez. I had a former co worker that used to see him for years and loved him. I found out that my former neighbor who works for Beverly Hospital sees him, and I used to have a resident that used to see him too.

Dr. Edwin Yu is great, so are his staff. Only negative is that the facilities are quite old and dingy. HealthCare Partners is good too. Newer facilities, staff has been efficient so far, Dr. Chien is pretty thorough and I forgot his name, but they have a great Nurse Practitioner on staff who impressed me the most. Urgent Care hours are decent, but I've driven to Pasadena for late night/weekend evening care.

Family Care Specialists on Washington Blvd. Same info as provided in the first comment. I've been going there for the last 18 years and I love them.

I drive all the way from Moreno Valley to L.A. to take my kids to Nuestra Clinica on Whittier and Euclid The Doctor is Great my kids actually love going and look forward to their visit...

And the staff at Nuestra Clinica is the best... Their not all snobby with stupid attitudes like at other clinics where they think they're better than you because they're behind a stupid desk picking up the phone...

White memorial pediatric has a few good doctors Dr. Rincon Dr Rivera Dr Guzman, DR segura is good he is just blunt about things n thats why many dnt like him but I do and a few otherss

if you go to the KP.org website, and setup an account, you can login and it lets you search for doctors in your area. Some doctors have more info on the site, than others. Sorry I dont have a direct recommendation for you, since my doctor is based on adult medicine.

I went to St Benidicts school with a few Odou's, they were nice kids. Later,when my Son played ball@Mtb high,Dr. Odou was on the field every Fri.home game. The Beverly hospital has a wall with all the old timers, there they are again. The Odou's I've never heard a disparaging word about them. ....How lucky we are.
