Your favorite dentist and eye doctor for your kiddos? We moved from Wetumpka and I don't wanna drive to Millbrook anymore. I want a dentist who doesn't tell me to stay...
Krista C. replied:
Terri Sandlin! https://www.dentistryatparkplace.net/mobile/ the kids love it there!! She's great!
Jennifer M. replied:
Dr Richard Murphy (optometrist) at ITEC....there are opthomologists there too if needed. Dr Parma is who you need if you need a retinal specialist.
Charlotte P. replied:
Brian Barrett in Wetumpka is awesome dentist! Dr.Owens wish Montgomery eye care is amazing been with him since I was about 5!!
Beth S. replied:
We use Dr Elijah for the whole family dentist. There are no pediatric dentists in Montgomery that will tell you that you can go back with your child. Dr Elijah's office doesn't advertise that they let you go back, and some rooms are rather small and wouldn't really accommodate another adult in there. But they do not tell you that you can't go back. We started there when my son was 5, and he's never had an issue. I walk him to the room, get him setteled, turn the tv to an appropriate channel, and go back to the waiting room.
Diana M. replied:
Dr. Hudson on bell road allows you back.
Liz W. replied:
Dr. Hudson does allows parents with kids AND kids with parents. I had to bring all four kids with me to my appointment and had to hold my 3 year old on my lap for a bit to calm her.
Beth S. replied:
Oh and Dr Elijah has never offered a fluoride treatment to me or my child. As a matter of fact, he told me the reason my teeth are so healthy is because I grew up on well water, instead of city water.
Sharon H. replied:
Dr. Scott Harris allows you to go back with your children and we had no issue requesting no x-rays and no fluoride treatments for their teeth. His staff is super friendly and we loved the dental hygienist. http://www.scottharrisdmd.com/?page_id=86

Ophthalmologist (not just optometrist) recommendations in Montgomery?
Jenny L. replied:
Dr John Swan
Joe M. replied:
Scott Parma - but he is more of a back of the eye ophthalmologist - he's excellent and can refer you if needed
Susan S. replied:
I have known John Swan for many years. He has done my 2 eye surgeries. Great doctor. My father went to Dr. Parma. Again, very satisfied. Such a nice man.
Susan F. replied:
Dr. Mitchell at Motgomery Eye Physicians is wonderful. Great DR and very kind man.
Marcy J. replied:
Dr. Paulk close to Baptist East. He has one partner -- and I like both of them. Since their practice is small, you don't feel like a "number". He is from Geneva, and loves to talk about his garden!
Jan D. replied:
Dr Mitchell & MGM eye
Josie M. replied:
I use Dr. Paulk, very nice person and a good doctor.
