Heading to Montreal in a month for the Comedy festival, can anyone recommend some inexpensive hotels?
JimBuckMccoy replied:
I would go on St-Hubert street between St-Catherine and Ontario, there is allot of small shit holes that will cost you under 80$ a night. Otherwise expect to pay between 100$ and 200$ bucks for an almost decent hotel down town (with reservations). Take it from a clerk in a major hotel.
bopollo replied:
Are we talking Youth Hostel inexpensive or do you want an actual hotel?
Sland replied:
Have you tried searching for those mystery bid hotel (hotel.com or something)? I figure that's the best price you'll find.

I would suggest hotwire or priceline. There are some very good tips at betterbidding.com

Look up McGill summer Housing. 40 bucks a night if staying less than 28 days. Though there are taxes. If staying longer, the price drops and you don't have to pay taxes. I think it's something like 760 a month. EDIT: This is in the cheap freshman dorms. So shared bath, kitchen, etc. See: Royal Victoria College EDIT 2: To make it easy: http://www.mcgill.ca/students/housing/summer/
Hello. Has anyone been to Winnipeg and would you have suggestions for a short stopover. Place to stay? Place to visit?

If you're ordering in one night, Santa Lucia Pizza (and salads) is excellent.

Looking for nice hotel room that MUST have a jacuzzi in the room. Any help? Hi guys. I will be taking my wife to Ottawa/Gatineau/Quebec (not as far as Montreal though)....
Centretowndad replied:
"Wife", eh? Heh heh heh. Don't worry your secret's safe on Reddit.
oldlinuxguy replied:
You may find a whirlpool tub or jet tub but I doubt you will find an actual jacuzzi. Tge amount of steam, moisture and maintenance would make it unlikely.
Domdidomdom replied:
Maybe look for an AirBnB with one?

yuck. Don't forget to bring a bottle of bleach.

This website lists only hotels with jacuzzi in the room, all over North America. http://www.excellent-romantic-vacations.com/ontario-jacuzzi-suites.html It says Swiss Hotel is the only one in Ottawa.
funkme1ster replied:
I tip my hat to you, sir. You know what you want. I can't wait for you to be mid-coitus in the jacuzzi and the mix of high temperature and physical exertion leads to you blacking out and hitting your head. I hope the person you're trying to bonk can lift your body weight to keep you from drowning.
