Can anyone recommend a dog groomer? I was looking for one that's not at the vets office or Pet Smart. In home or similar would be more convenient and not as anxiety...

It's expensive! They told me to board my 2 dogs together it would be 35$ for EACH dog. We have taken them to Canine Country Club in Washington and had GREAT experience each time. We were also able to board them together for 25.50 or 26.50 a day (for both dogs not each.) I highly recommend them!!

If your dog likes to interact and play with other dogs, I would recommend Waggin' Tails Resort in Goodfield. Our dog loves it there. The dogs are in a play area together and there are several staff to play with them. Check out their Facebook page!

Half of our schnauzers ear was cut off at Tender Care and they tried to cover it up and not tell us! Sent him home with us like nothing happened, when he got home he shook his head and the glue they used to cover up their hack job gave way and blood went flying all over the room!! Half his ear was hanging off. I called and they had to do surgery to fix it! Acted like they were nice to not charge us for the surgery! I'll never ever ever go back. We go to Rescued Heart in Pekin now.

Cheryl B. replied:
I used to go to Tender Care for grooming. My dog ended up with eye infections more than once and Jill is not patient with her cuts. I would never go back to grooming there! I've also used You Dirty Dog. They do a good job but they are hard to get into unless you plan well in advance. I currently use My Dogs Bakery in the Metro Center. They always look great and the groomers listen to what you want.
Any recommendations on dog groomers? We have a shih tzu..

Looking for a dog groomer in the Morton east Peoria area.... any suggestions? ?
Jenni Y. replied:
I take my Shih Tzu to a friend in Deer Creek. She does it on the side. She does an ABSOLUTE job on my Clover! I took him to PetSmart in E Peoria before going to her & I didn't care for Pet Smart plus they are expensive. I can give you her # if you want.
Jenni Y. replied:
Pet Smart maybe better now. The first time I took Clover there, they butched him bad & I just think they are really pricey. Second time I went there I explained exactly what I wanted & they still didn't do his hair right. Course I am kind of picky......LoL!
Was wondering if there are any local dog groomers in Morton besides You Dirty Dog and Tendercare? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
